SpeakScribe (speakscribe.me) is an AI-powered creator suite offering audio transcription, text-to-speech, and YouTube SEO tools. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

2. Information We Collect

Account data: Name, email address, and hashed password when you register.

Usage data: Files you upload, text you submit, transcripts and audio generated, job history, and plan usage statistics.

Payment data: Subscription status and PayPal subscription IDs. We do not store credit card numbers — payments are handled entirely by PayPal.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, and access logs for security and debugging purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve our transcription, TTS, and SEO services.
• To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, file expiry warnings).
• To enforce plan limits and process subscription payments.
• To detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your uploaded audio or text to train AI models.

4. File Retention

• Free plan: Uploaded files and generated outputs are retained for 7 days.
• Starter plan: Files retained for 30 days.
• Pro plan: Files retained for 90 days.
• Agency plan: Files retained for 365 days.
• After retention period, files are permanently deleted from our storage.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SpeakScribe:

• PayPal — payment processing and subscription management.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Cloudflare / DigitalOcean — infrastructure and storage.
• Groq / OpenAI — AI transcription and post-processing.

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We only share data necessary for the service to function.

6. Cookies

We use minimal cookies for session management and user preferences (e.g., onboarding state). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics tools (if enabled) may use cookies to measure usage patterns — see our analytics disclosure.

7. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update your name via account settings.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us.
• Portability: Download your transcripts and outputs at any time via the dashboard.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and access-controlled storage. Despite these measures, no system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children's Privacy

SpeakScribe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
